The backbone of Huff, Powell & Bailey’s operation
The teams at HPB remained productive, collaborating securely from home offices during the pandemic because everyone had access to whatever they needed, wherever they were.
Huff, Powell & Bailey helps people who help people — and the firm has more than quadrupled in size in the past ten years. The civil litigation firm represents the insurance company when medical malpractice lawsuits are served against hospitals, doctors, nurses, or other care providers.
When HPB's legacy on-premises hardware needed a refresh, the long-time iManage customer opted to move to iManage in the Cloud. Easy expansion of their computing resources and seamless integration with Microsoft Office and Outlook — as well as their Orion billing system — were among the firm's reasons for choosing the iManage Cloud and for migrating from FileSite to the next-generation solution, iManage Work 10, at the same time.
iManage Work helps us to remain at the top of our game
Post-implementation, Tricia Boughter, Executive Director of Huff, Powell & Bailey, describes iManage as “the backbone of Huff, Powell & Bailey’s operation, keeping everything neat and tidy, so everybody knows exactly where to go to get what they need.”
The move to Work 10 has saved the firm’s legal assistants and paralegals several hours each week, and attorneys can be confident that any materials they need are safe in the iManage Cloud and reliably available for immediate access.
"By providing everyone access to whatever they need, wherever they are, iManage Work helps us to remain at the top of our game," says Boughter.
Another bonus of people being able to work from anywhere, on any device, with a consistent interface, Boughter told us, is that the uniformity of the iManage Work 10 environment enables paralegals or legal assistants to move from one practice area to another without retraining. They can "hit the ground running."
Scalability is critical to the firm's continuing growth
The firm’s small IT team scores benefits, as well, getting back the time they spent managing servers, before iManage Cloud. The firm says that the scalability that iManage delivers in the Cloud will be critical to the firm as they continue to grow.
