Start your template application from iManage Work using a right-click on a folder, and pass the (case related) information from that folder to your template application. Use information from documents to select a Workspace and/or a folder automatically to save documents to. Create and update footers containing iManage Work information among other methods by calling your preferred template macros or add-in commands. Update an iManage Work document profile with information passed on from the iManage Work template, any other properties or document variables in your document, or even other profile fields. Documents you open from the file system can be automatically removed after saving them to iManage. If the file system is set to read-only for users, configure the Advanced Office Integration to use an admin account with an encrypted password to clean up the documents and leave a link to the documents in iManage.

The Exporter is an easy to use desktop tool. It can be installed on any client machine with HP WorkSite and Microsoft Office. Using a ‘wizard’, users are guided through easy steps to export a selection of documents, document folders or a complete workspace, including its original folder structure and documents. When exporting documents and/or folders, they can be renamed. The Exporter offers the option to use available WorkSite metadata to name documents and folders. For each export, an index page will be created. This index page will give a summary of what has been exported. This index page can be added on the top level of the created folder structure. The Exporter offers the choice of exporting all versions of documents, or the final versions only, filtered on date or specific authors.

The IRIS Connector creates and structures all information available in the ERP/PMS in iManage Work. By creating workspace templates for clients and specific projects, matters or engagement types, and by populating them with all the relevant information on that client, project, engagement or matter, no additional work in iManage Work is necessary and users can save their documents to workspaces and inherit their security and metadata directly from there. If a matter, client, engagement or project becomes confidential in the PMS, the whole workspace including all its documents will follow the same rule right away. As a result, key players for a project can receive elevated security automatically, but more importantly when this security level changes, you choose to replace the original security with it, or just add it on top. That workspace can also show up in the My Workspaces / My Matters folder automatically, optionally categorized by client.

Scan2DMS connects multifunctionals to iManage Work. Every scanned image is automatically stored. Scan2DMS is installed on a server and collects all scanned documents, where possible together with a barcode or extra information provided by the multifunctional. The scanned images are OCRed (Optical Character Recognition), converted to a PDF and released to iManage Work. The location where documents are saved can be determined based on the bar code or other information. Furthermore, it is possible to connect dedicated scanners to iManage Work, enabling organisations to digitize and archive their paper files in iManage Work. Patented compression technology significantly reduces the filesize of document and thereby boosts performance for users.
