Salt Lake City IP law firm Workman Nydegger moves to iManage Cloud for document and email management

High availability and enhanced governance key factors in move to the cloud

CHICAGO – April 4, 2019 – iManage, the company dedicated to transforming how professionals work, today announced that Workman Nydegger – a leading intellectual property law firm in the Intermountain West, with headquarters in Salt Lake City – is moving to iManage Cloud for new product capabilities and high availability.

A long-time user of iManage’s industry-leading document and email management, Workman Nydegger saw the value in moving its on-premises deployment of iManage Work to iManage Cloud. “iManage Cloud’s ability to provide anywhere, anytime access to important client information will help our lawyers be more productive and efficient,” said Josh Schreiner, Director of IT, Workman Nydegger.

To enhance information governance, Workman Nydegger is adopting iManage Records Manager to manage physical and electronic records in accordance with firm and client retention policies. “Adding records management was easy in the iManage Cloud,” added Schreiner. “In doing so, we improve our ability to meet the increasing governance needs of our clients.”

The move to the cloud will also enable the firm to deliver a more robust and high availability infrastructure. “After a recent outage, we recognized the cost and complexity of maintaining a high availability environment for our key work product,” said Schreiner. “With the iManage Cloud, our professionals will have always-on access to their critical work product and we can avoid the cost and administration of dedicated disaster recovery facilities.”

iManage partner Younts Consulting is assisting with the firm’s implementation of iManage Cloud and iManage’s governance applications. Younts was chosen for its personal consulting approach and project experience with iManage.

“Firms like Workman Nydegger recognize that cloud providers can deliver high availability environments that enable effective 24x7 operations at a lower cost,” said Dan Carmel, Chief Marketing Officer, iManage. “Being able to add mobile access and new capabilities like records management enables mid-sized firms to gain access to leading technology in a way that is cost-effective and robust. The cloud advantages span both productivity and risk management, and firms like Workman Nydegger are taking advantage of both.”
