Insight+ 2025 year in review: Customer-driven progress

As the year draws to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how iManage Insight+ has evolved – not just as a product, but as a partnership between iManage and our customers. We continue adapting and investing in Insight+ to meet the evolving needs of our users, reflecting our belief that being a trusted vendor means more than just delivering technology; it means listening, responding, and building together.

As more organizations recognize the value of optimizing their underutilized knowledge, especially with the rising presence of AI-based tools that rely on it, users’ insights and suggestions are driving continuous improvements to Insight+. This means that each update delivers more relevant, intuitive, and impactful capabilities tailored to users’ evolving needs.

Insight+: delivering user-friendly innovation at scale

This year, Insight+ has more than 24,000 new users, with monthly active usage exceeding 39% of all users (industry benchmark for opt-in software being 30% MAUs). This extraordinary adoption rate is also a testament to the platform’s ease of use, particularly as it seamlessly integrates into users’ typical daily workflows, and the end user desire for high quality, tried-and-tested content in a world of Gen AI outputs.

Responding to customers’ needs

Customer feedback informed every aspect of the 2025 Insight+ roadmap, resulting in over 30 updates and new features. This includes a range of enhancements to knowledge and context search directly reflecting user feedback and requests. Enhancements also include significant improvements to search, curation, and analytics.

Some of the most impactful updates this year include:

  • Data warehouse integration: connect matter details you already have in other business systems like jurisdiction, presiding judge, opposing counsel, deal value, and more – so you get all this detail in Insight+ search results and filtering
  • Personalized views: Customize what users can see in Insight+. For example, you could group users by office, practice area, or country.
  • Advanced search capabilities: Users can now perform exact phrase searches in targeted searches, leverage Boolean operators, and enjoy a more intuitive search interface (Our recent blog post reveals how Insight+ search capabilities are helping organizations).
  • OCR and large file indexing: Insight+ now supports full-text search for image-based documents and extra-large files (up to 100 million characters), making knowledge more accessible than ever.
  • Landing pages: Tailor content specific to practice area, role, or jurisdiction with new, customizable landing pages.
  • Knowledge collections: Knowledge lawyers can create and share curated collections, toolkits, and guides, streamlining workflows and saving time.
  • Leverage AI: Power Automate in Insight+ connects Ask iManage or your preferred Gen AI tools to Insight+
  • As each enhancement was designed with real-world workflows in mind, Insight+ fits even more seamlessly into the way professionals work.

Customer voices: Allens unlocks enterprise knowledge with Insight+

The transformative impact of Insight+ is powerfully illustrated by Allens, a pioneering international law firm headquartered in Australia. With an active DMS of over 120 million documents, Allens needed a solution that could quickly and efficiently surface relevant insights across practice groups. By adopting Insight+, Allens empowered 1,350 legal staff to access the right information in the right context, supporting faster, more informed decisions and stronger client outcomes.
