iManage to showcase new features and solution benefits at ARMA InfoCon 2019

Ian Raine

iManage will host an informational session at the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA) InfoCon 2019, Oct. 21-23 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn., to discuss enhancements to its products and how firms can optimize their electronic and paper records management strategies.

The company will hold a Security and Information Governance Breakfast the morning of Oct. 21 and a Solutions Showcase event at 2:50 pm in the Konica Minolta Room where we will display early demonstrations of the new features as well as discuss modern strategies for approaching records management when 95% of content is created or received in electronic formats.

New features

Scheduled for release by the end of 2019, iManage Records Manager 10.1 will include dashboards designed to give end users, records clerks, and records managers all the information that’s relevant to them on a single page. This at-a-glance feature offers a high-level view of key metrics, giving a real-time pane onto the firm’s records management status without having to search in different areas or run disparate reports.

The new functionality will give a more intuitive experience and enable more efficiency for these users as they look to maintain both electronic and paper records.

Also scheduled for release this November is iManage Security Policy Manager version 1.5, which will include a new feature that enables firms to define ‘big bucket’ security scenarios to ensure they enable the right level of access to both documents and records.  Firms can utilize the new feature, called Foundational Policies to set security at the practice group level, or the office-location level so relevant users have access to the files that pertain to them.  This encourages knowledge collaboration by enabling shared access to documents and records for groups that work together, but also helps maintain security by denying access to those who don’t.  Security Policy Manager protects content in both iManage Records Manager and iManage Work as well as other systems.

Single client for document and records management

Legal records managers often need to transition between their firm’s current work and related records. iManage offers a single client across its solutions to enable these users to easily move from working on current documents to their related legacy records without having to learn a new interface or sign onto a different system.

Further, if a firm is using iManage Work for document management and still on LegalKey, migrating to iManage Records Manager for records management will be even easier as they are likely already familiar with the interface.

iManage Records Manager is the #1 solution for legal and other professional service firms with over 550,000 users worldwide able to manage both physical and electronic records on any device, either on-premises or in the cloud.  Records Manager is the only product to integrate seamlessly into iManage Work, as well as manage content in other repositories, providing the best choice for consolidated document and records management with the highest levels of security and governance via complimentary iManage products of Security Policy Manager and Threat Manager.
